About
Tālofa lava and welcome sister,
This is a space for the divine woman who is on her healing journey of awakening & embodying the remembrance of who she truly is. Breaking generational curses & societal conditioning by going deep within herself to reclaim, heal & awaken her power & purpose.
Sacred Soul Sisters was birthed from my own personal journey.
When I lived in Australia during my second pregnancy in 2018 I found myself naturally called into a deeper path of learning around holistic and natural healing. I worked with a doula for a home birth, and through her I was introduced to the practice of Womb Steaming aka Vaginal Steaming to heal postpartum.
This season of my life ignited a deep passion that led me into deep self-education around natural healing modalities, Indigenous practices, and also the history of the Western medical system, which inspired me to reclaim more ancient ways of caring for my myself.
When I returned home to Ōtautahi Aotearoa in 2019, I created Sacred Soul Sisters as monthly women’s circles, a safe space for women to gather, share their hearts, their truth & their story. A space to be held in feminine energy, to connect, to explore holistic healing, and to remember ourselves again.
What began as intimate gatherings has naturally grown into retreats, workshops, courses, mentorship & offerings that all carry the same intention; to support women in healing & thriving mind, body & spirit.
As this space grew, I began to share more about womb health and the practice of vaginal steaming. I quickly discovered that many women had never heard of it before. That led me to study and become certified through the Steamy Chick Institute, as a certified pelvic steaming practitioner- the first school of its kind created by an Indigenous African American woman.
From there, I began offering womb steaming as a service, travelling to women’s homes and holding one-on-one and group ceremonial healing sessions. These moments have been some of the most humbling and powerful experiences of my work. I have witnessed women soften, release, reconnect, and come home to their bodies in ways that words can’t fully explain.
I’ve also had the honour of sharing this practice at festivals and retreats, facilitating workshops and group steaming circles, including one where around 30 women steamed together on the earth under the sun. It was incredibly powerful to witness the collective healing that happens when women gather in this way.
This practice has supported myself and so many other women with fertility, menstrual cycle imbalances, infections, emotional healing, and the release of trauma held within the womb space.
We as the WOMEN are here to activate our womb, our heart & our voice to express who we truly are, to inspire & empower others, and to create positive change within our families & community.
Sacred Soul Sisters is passionate about supporting the healing and awakening of the Divine Feminine by offering spaces, education & organic, natural products to support holistic health and well-being for the Sacred Woman.
When women come into this space, I want them to feel safe, held, and empowered. Remembering the wisdom of their body, and the lineage of women before us who carried these practices through time. This is not just individual healing, but collective remembering.
A returning.
A remembering.
A coming home.
Alofa Atu,
Taleta Maree
